Born in Michigan, Atlanta based Derek Clegg has come a long way from his early recording days.  Without the backing of a label or help of a producer, Derek has been forced to develop his own sound.  "It's not exactly what I imagined I would have to do to release a cd.  In the back of my mind I always thought someone would hear my music and I would be on my way.  I was very foolish to think it would be so easy."  Acting as Engineer, Producer and Multi-instrumentalist, Derek has created a layered masterpiece of beautifully written songs that bring to mind Wilco, David Gray, Ryan Adams, and Damien Rice.  From one song to the next, the New CD "Alone" seems like something from a seasoned Indie Artist whose recordings are anything but home based.  This is definitely an album and artist to watch in 2008.
